Podcasts are one of the easiest ways to get massive visibility for your business. I feel that people often discount the podcast but if you do your research and are a guest on a show whose listeners are your target market, it’s a game changer. Even if the show only has 1000 downloads a month, imagine it’s 1,000 of your ideal customer.
It’s important to do your homework and find podcasts where your ideal customer is. This is the best value of your time to make sure the podcast will benefit you. The next thing I recommend is to see what topics they have already covered and where you can fill in. Make it easy for the podcast host to say “yes.”
Nowadays there are also video podcasts which is great because it allows people to really see you and get to know you. Podcasts have become one of the hottest marketing vehicles! It’s a great way to get your message out to a big audience.
Lastly, make it worth your while to be a guest and make sure you have a “freebie” available for the listeners. Create an opt-in system that allows you to give something away in exchange for a name and email address. This way you make sure that you grow your list with potential customers and are able to stay connected with them.
