Andra Douglas is a national champion rugby athlete, former quarterback in the Women’s Professional Football League, artist, entrepreneur, author, and Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee. She is also the former owner of the two-time national champion New York Sharks women’s tackle football team and the founder of Fins Up, a foundation supporting female athletes.
In this episode, Andra sits down with Christina to discuss her lifelong love of football, the barriers she faced as a woman in male-dominated sports, buying the New York Sharks simply because she wanted to keep playing, and the unforgettable championship season that inspired her latest book, Changing Cadence. She also shares stories from her creative career, her work as an artist, her thoughts on reinvention after 50, and why helping women find their voice has become such an important part of her purpose.
