Currently serving as an Associate Professor and the Director of the Center for Aging, Health and Humanities at George Washington University, RN Melissa Batchelor, PhD has dedicated her career to researching age-related issues, such as dementia and Alzheimer’s, and how we can provide better care for those battling these diseases as a society and a family.
In her return to the podcast, Melissa offers her insights on personal aging, how we can get the most out of our later years, and early signs of Alzheimer’s to look for with our loved ones. She also shares fascinating information on how our lifestyle and mental headspace can alter how we age, and the negative effects that ageist messages found in consumer products such as greeting cards can have on our mental health.
