Landing publicity is not for you, per se. It’s providing value to an audience. What expertise do you share that can help with something going on in the world? If you have something that can help, and provide value, it’s important that you share it.
In the blink of an eye our news climate changed again. We went from months of COVID related stories – and an all consuming cycle of only coronavirus stories to the horrible events that lead to the tragic death of George Floyd in Minnesota and the resulting protests and riots.
I have several new clients in the health care space and we had put together amazing pitches related to Covid. They had just started pitching and then, bam, instant shift. Now it’s important if you can offer any value with stories related to what’s going on in the country now, that you share it with the media.
Everyone is angered, lost, looking for leadership and guidance. This is a time when people who can share this type of expertise should do so. Where are we headed? What does everything mean? Bring your expertise to the world through media.
Hi everybody. It’s Christina Daves with this week’s Free Publicity Friday Tip. This week I want to talk about – gosh what’s going on in the world. For months now I have been talking about how do you get your message across with Covid? How do you stand out? And literally, again, in the blink of an eye everything has shifted and now in light of everything that happened in Minnesota and George Floyd, we are in a totally new news cycle and there’s so much that so many of us can offer to the world.
Maybe you are involved with leadership, conflict resolution. Maybe you own a small business. I spoke with my next-door neighbor the other day and they’ve owned a restaurant for 45 years and it was almost vandalized. Next door was vandalized but they were saved. So, what does all of this mean for the small business owner? For people? For racism? There are just so many topics and I really feel the world is coming together right now so it’s a huge opportunity to get a powerful strong message out to the world. So I encourage you, if you have something to say, if you have an expertise that can help and what we’re all going through right now, please, please pitch the media and share your story.
